I buried my 19yr Old Neice last Friday. She fought a long but hard-fought battle with Aplastic Anemia. After a successful bone marrow transplant, her immune-less body battled through secondary infections as she tried to recover.
Although my heart is broken because she was a shining light that had so much to offer to this world but the world we live in today was not safe for her. Had we been blessed and she rebounded, she would have been super vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus. She had no immune system and would have probably been triaged out of life-saving care.
So while I'm sad and missing her terribly. She was able to transition with dignity and surrounded by friends and family. There is some grace in her passing. One of the last things she told her aunt, my other sister, is that she was going to call Trump. When my sister asked why she said: “Because I don't like him and we had to get him out of here". When my sister responded back did she have his number, she said: "We all have his number!" And we do!
These words along with our last words of love will stay with me as I prepare to crawl over glass and corona to vote his ass out of office……. Rest in Peace Cameron Taylor. Love your Auntie Ronetta.
P.S. I want to give my great thanks to the doctors, nurses, social workers and support staff at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. They have my family’s undying gratitude and praise. They are the real heroes.
